Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts of Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.

The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, high school, and adapted primary and high school. We have over 3,200 employees at 45 preschools, 22 primary schools, and four high schools. The Position and Responsibilities

The position is a temporary contract for about 1.5 years.

You will belong to a team for grades F-3 and become a mentor in one of our third grades, possibly following the class to grade 4. You will primarily conduct teaching in your mentor class but may also teach in one or more of the other classes in your team F-3 on some occasions each week.

We are looking for someone who is confident and clear in their leadership. You should have a good ability to create strong relationships with students and parents. You should want to collaborate closely with colleagues in the team.

You will plan and conduct teaching in all theoretical subjects together with our other teachers in the lower grades.

We Offer You

Trädgårdsstad School is a F-9 school located in Tullinge in Botkyrka Municipality. The school was built in 2002 and has about 680 students from F-9. We have fresh, modern, and bright facilities. It is built in modules with workspaces close to classrooms and break areas, which provides good conditions for creating strong relationships with students.

Our school has been selected as a training school, and we have a close collaboration with Stockholm University and the practical training for teacher students.

Since 2011, we have a one-student-one-computer program, which means that all students have access to their own computer.

Who You Are

Requirements: You are a qualified teacher with valid certification for lower primary or middle school. We are looking for someone who is engaged in school development and wants to drive progress together with colleagues and school leadership. You have previous experience teaching in lower primary or middle school.

Meritorious: It is an advantage if you are qualified in Swedish as a second language. It is also advantageous if you are knowledgeable in various digital systems such as Schoolsoft, Vklass, or Unikum.

We are looking for someone who is structured and collaborative in daily work within the team. You are a confident mentor and colleague who values good relationships and relationship-building with both students, colleagues, and guardians.
